Resolution of 800 x 600 pixels

16.7 million colors

With the Courier New, Arial, and MS Sans Serif fonts installed (all of which come with Win95 and NT 4.0, and I believe Win3.x). If you don't have copies of these fonts, you can download them here:
- Courier New
- Arial
With either Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.04. This page was designed for Internet Explorer, however, and it looks marginally better that way.

With the technology available today, these settings shouldn't be unreasonable.
