Character Information:
Evangeline Valkier is a native of Paris, France. She was raised by rich
parents who nevertheless had no idea how to raise their daughter. As her
teenage years approached she was quickly drawn into the nightlife of the
city and the gothic subculture. She had always been fascinated by stories
about monsters and horror flics and felt to be part of the night. She was
interested in Astrology and all sorts of things like past-lives and the
powers of the mind.
Around this time she began getting feelings, premonitions of a sort. Her
dreams were becoming more realistic, she was beginning to see people's
auras, sense their thoughts, and it was starting to scare her. However by
the age of 16 she had gained control over her powers and by the time Dark
Day occurred she was in full control of her capabilities. She had become
master of her mind.
During Dark Day and ever since, she has been hunted by the creatures she
has come to know as the Nightlords. She rarely stays in one place for
long, travelling through the Dreamstream in order to escape her pursuers.
She has come to learn a great deal about the supernatural and the occult
during her flight. She has progressed rapidly, growing steadily in power
because of the constant use of her powers. She is virtually a prodigy.
During her flight she has taken many temporary jobs, from that of a menial
laborer to playing in bands to selling her paintings on the street corner
and writing poetry for periodicals. But no matter what she does, she never
forgets what is following her. In order to temporarily throw off the NSB
she changed her name at one point to Eve Walker, and has used that name
ever since.
Eve often wears the gothic black, usually her black trenchcoat and black
leather pants along with a variety of tops, from black halters to bikini
tops to normal t-shirts, although they usually have a special message or
meaning. No matter where she is she has a golden ankh hung from around her
neck (see armor). She wears boots and carries her pistol whenever
possible, and carries her sword in a shoulder flute case along with a
flute. Her hair is raven black and cut short, a stark contrast to her pale
white skin and striking blue eyes. She often heavily lines her eyes and
both her ears are extensively pierced. She stands 5'7" tall and
weighs 123lbs, a model of near-physical perfection. This perfection has
led to some nasty encounters in dark alleys, however she is capable of
taking care of herself, as all of her assailants have found out.

A rare artifact discovered in the Void during one of Eve's first forays
into the Astral Plane. The sword appears to be a normal (although very
high quality) katana until you enter either the Astral Plane or the
Dreamstream. In the Astral Plane the blade turns a faintly luminescent
white, while in the Dreamstream the blade constantly shifts colors,
depending on Eve's mood, from pure black to pure white. The katana is
able to harm both Astral beings and beings from the Dreamstream, whether
they are on the material plane or the Astral Plane or Dreamstream. In
all places the damage is the same, just the appearance changes.

A simple automatic pistol used as a standard weapon against humans or
when she doesn't want to call as much attention to herself. It's also
easier to hide than a katana.

The only armor that Eve wears is an Ankh shaped Amulet made of steel and
gold that she found in an old pawn shop in Egypt. Unknown to the
proprietor the amulet is magical, being able to form a magic forcefield
that surrounds the user and protects against attacks. The field simply
snaps up in time to block an incoming attack, it is not up constantly.
However it provides no protection against environmental hazards like
fires or gases. In addition, the Amulet can't be removed without her
permission and it is indestructible.
