Her parents were rifted to Earth by a freak storm and deposited outside of the city of Charity. They managed to eke out a meager living by working in various bars and casinos, but it could hardly be called a life. Their only joy was Angela, who had "the voice of an angel", according to some of their acquaintances. But even with a voice like that, Angela ended up waiting tables at the age of 10. She was constantly harassed by patrons who made crude remarks. Because of her incredible elven beauty, she was often the target of attacks. Luckily one of her friends was a cyberslinger named Jackyl who was constantly watching out for her. But one time he wasn't there. As Angela headed home late one evening, she was grabbed from behind and dragged into an alleyway. As the filthy thug began tearing her clothes off, she felt a pressure building in both her head and her chest. She let out a single piercing note and the thug fell over, clutching his head. She kept singing and soon he was bleeding from his ears and mouth. Angela was so terrified that she just kept singing. He died shortly and she fell into an exhausted heap near his body. She was found there the next day, and very few people bothered her again. Now, at the age of 18, she is still a saloon girl. Her parents died a few years back in an arsonist's attack. Angela has the heart of an adventurer, but the job of a Saloon Girl. She wants adventure in her life. She wants to save the world. She wants to be famous. She constantly answers ads for adventurers but is almost always turned down, given the answer that "a purty young thang like yew ain't meant to get her hands durty". That's about the time that she kicks them in the groin and storms out. She's got a fiery temper at times. Not that she doesn't like her current job, it's just that it gets so boring at times. She associates with all sorts of people in order to get along and although she dislikes working with murderers and big-time criminals, she's not above a little larceny herself. She also does not enjoy killing people, but has had to in the past when they presumed too much. She is not a call girl, as they found out. Angela dresses in standard barmaid fare: long skirt, stockings, corset, and long gloves (very similar to the barmaid on p.123 of NW), all in dark colors to offset her pale skin. She wears sturdy boots because she's on her feet so much and a little bit of jewelry (including a choker, silver arm band, earrings and a bracelet) to accentuate her natural beauty. There are small, almost unnoticeable slits on each side of her skirt. These are so she can reach her hidden guns if she needs to. When she's not working she wears a pair of leather pants, a loose shirt, and her riding boots and hat.
